oh, our GOD…

Careless words

writing without thinking

speaking without caring…

~

When did “omg”

become the “in” thing to say?

An acceptable comment,

as long as I abbreviate it,

or even if I don’t bother…

Who really cares anyway?

~

Children to adults

I hear and see it everywhere

from Facebook to Twitter,

in Christian comments…

the one place where I shouldn’t.

~

Or if I substitute gosh for God,

then, it’s ok, because I’m coming close

but not really using God’s Name…

Do I really think I can trick God?

~

We teach our children

Commandment #3

You shall not take

The Name of The LORD your GOD in vain…

Exodus 20:7

~

I shouldn’t say GOD’s Name unless

I’m talking to Him

or telling someone about Him.

~

So if I’m saying, “omg”…

is He really?

Because if He really is my GOD,

then I need to ask forgiveness for

slinging His Name through the muck.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But I tell you that every careless word
that people speak,
they shall give an accounting for it
in the day of judgement.
~
For by your words
you will be justified,
and by your words,
you will be condemned.
Matthew 12:36,37
incense for Raquel…
Missionaries depend upon our prayers
Rick & Jeaneth Maxwell
Raquel & Sebastian
~
Little Raquel is having kidney surgery this week
From her parents:
We recently discovered the cause of Raquel’s discomfort in past and present months. She has an obstruction, which almost closes her kidney on one side, not allowing it to drain properly, so it stays filled up, which causes her pain when her stomach is filling with food, due to pressure against the kidney.
As GOD brings her sweet face to your mind
please lift up a prayer for her?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

…golden bowls full of incense,

which are the prayers of the saints.

Revelation 5:8

2 years young…

Lovely name…Phoebe Fair

Severe trials for a wee one and her family…

Phoebe is two years young.

~

As we celebrated Christmas,

Phoebe opened presents while fighting

a parasite infection.

~

As we rung in a New Year,

Phoebe was raced into surgery

for a brain tumor.

~

And now…

the tumor was cancerous.

~

Words from her mommy:

“An aggressive cancerous tumor called AT/RT. It is very rare and there is a 50% survival rate with an 18 month long chemo regimen. They will do a minor surgery to put in a port for her to receive chemo treatments through before we leave the hospital and then she will have 12 very hard weeks of hard-hitting chemo. He warned us to be prepared.”

“The Oncology team will meet with us tomorrow (the 12th) to explain the details. We were not expecting this. At all. I will have more thoughts, and words to share with you all once this has sunk in. Right now I feel numb, and exhausted, and like I am living in a strange dream that is not my own life. Please pray for our sweet girl…and our dear boys as we look at what the next several months of our lives together will look like. One moment at a time..hanging on to Him.”

~

Please take a moment to visit Phoebe’s caring bridge website and let her family know you care.

Please take many moments and lift prayers up to The Throne of Grace.

~

Now to Him Who is Able

to do far more abundantly beyond

all that we ask or think,

according to the power

that works within us,

~

to Him be the glory

in the church

and in CHRIST JESUS

to all generations

forever

and ever.

Amen.

Ephesians 3:20

Smartphones, GPS…and the lambs

As I watched this video

I’m reminded once again

that we cannot out-think Satan and his evil as

he constantly seeks ways to destroy.

~

We are dependent upon The Mercy of GOD,

His Protection and Grace.

But we are told to be wise

in our innocence,

to look out for each other.

Above all, to protect the lambs.
